Question by msdmariewhite: Can a NFL quarterback leave the field and return again?
Excluding possible injury, are NFL Quarterbacks allowed to leave the field and return multiple times over the course of a single game? My girlfriend and I disagree. She thinks it’s like baseball, where after you remove a pitcher they cannot return to the game, I think it’s like basketball, where the players can be switched out an unlimited amount of times. What’s the rule?

Your girlfriend is dumb.
you r right my friend, proof of dat is the wild cat, coaches take out qbs and replace them with runingbacks
ONLY if they have explosive diarrhea…
Don’t listen to previous answers, once on the field he can’t leave the field for 60 minutes. he can’t even leave the field at half time, and if he does he will be, suspended and fined a full games pay. lol
Any player in the NFL can be subbed in and out at any time. It’s always fun educating the girlfriends when it comes to sports. Especially at a sports bar.
Yes they can.
The only exception is that if the team’s “emergency quarterback” enters the game in the first 3 quarters, the first 2 QBs can’t reenter the game.
he can come and go.. excepting when the 3rd string QB has played before the last quarter, there is some stipulation that has to do with the 3rd string QB playing and how it affects the starting QB, but if the 3rd string QB hasn’t played he can be put back in..
There’s nothing special about QB as far as substitution. They can go in and out play after play, time after time like anyone else…
